Virtual Event Producer
Education: Washington State University – B.A.- Communications – Broadcasting; Minor in Fine Arts & Business
Phil’s expertise comes from over 20 years’ experience working in live production environments. Before transitioning to the world of webcasting, Phil spent 9 years in the television industry working for Warner Brothers and Fox affiliates in Seattle, WA. He wore many hats ranging from tape operations to lighting and audio engineering as well as assistant producing live interview segments with such notables as technology mogul Paul Allen, Chuck D of Public Enemy, and Elton John. He has since worked 12+ years in the webcast/ web conferencing industry as Producer, Trainer and Program Manager for such companies as Placeware, Microsoft and Worktank.
Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also plays tennis (as well as instructs kids on the sport), plays music (guitar, mandolin), and has been known to occasionally hit a small white ball with a crooked stick (However, to say he “plays golf” would be a gross and misleading exaggeration, but he still enjoys it.)
Fun Fact: Phil grew up all over the United States living in 5 different states and in every time zone except Alaska and Hawaii before his 18th Birthday. His parents were neither in the military nor the witness protection program… as far as he knows.
