The month of September has come and gone (too quickly!) and the V2 Crew has completed its participation in the BTA’s Bike Commute Challenge. Now it’s time to pause and take stock of the team’s accomplishments.
The last week and half of September went from sunny and warm to suddenly chilly and excessively rainy – with a week of monsoon like rains and thunderstorms. The wet weather did not deter the V2 team, who continued their bike commutes through the soggy, slick streets, with a final team mileage of over 310 miles! Our team also saved 308 lbs of CO2 emissions!
Our longest roundtrip commute was by our team captain, “Purple Rain or Shine” with a daily commute of 13 miles! She also had the most total miles of 110.5! Our next highest mileage was by team member “Burnt Orange for Life” who biked a total of 74 miles with the highest amount of 10 total trips. Congratulations to all our participating V2 Crew bike challenge members!
